Students at the College must prove their ability to read and understand scientific text in English by the end of the second year of studies. The level of a new student’s knowledge of English is determined in one of the following two ways:
- The subtest in English in the aptitude (psychometric) test.
- A grade in the AMIR/AMIRAM tests – a qualification test for level of English administered by the National Center for Testing Evaluation.
English level is determined according to the following criteria:

A student with results exceeding Level 1 in the subtest of the aptitude test will be exempt from English studies.
A student whose aptitude test grade is 650 or higher is exempt from English studies if his/her grade in the English section is 130 or higher.
Students will study English during the first two years at an appropriate level as determined for them.
At the conclusion of the English course, students will be tested at their level of studies until obtaining an exemption.
