JCE's Career Guidance Office offers career counseling through job fairs, workshops, online job listings and individual meetings.
The Office's recent activities include:
Helping JCE Students Find Employment
JCE’s Career Guidance Office, in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality’s Employment Services Center has invited JCE’s juniors and seniors to individual sessions with employment professionals. During these one-on-one meetings, which will take place at JCE on November 21st, 2011, and are free of charge, students will be informed on what jobs are available in the industry, how to go about finding them and applying, how to prepare a resume, and what workshops are available that might help better integrate them into the workforce.
JCE's Annual Job Fair
On June 8th, 2010, JCE held its annual job fair on campus which hundreds of students and graduates attended. Booths were set up by Israel’s leading human resource recruitment companies, Jerusalem’s municipality, and high-tech companies including Intel and Teva. Students and graduates were advised to bring along their resumes.
Workshop in Preperation for Integration into the Job Market
As one of its activities in career counseling, JCE provides students and graduates with workshops that help equip young adults with the necessary skills to face the job market: writing resumes, preparing for job interviews, presenting oneself to employers. The workshop, a collaboration with Jerusalem’s municipality and Shipour Ltd., a company that trains and recruits human resources, also helps participants learn about the job market, how to go about finding a job, and which jobs are currently in demand. A four-hour workshop was held on June 23rd, 2010, one of several offered throughout the year. At JCE’s job fair, many students and graduates signed up for the workshop.
